Citizens Bank announced the promotions of Johnny Babb to Vice President and Senior Network Administrator and Stephanie Spain to Assistant Vice President Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer. These elevations showcase the bank’s commitment to investing in technology and security via advances in its network infrastructure and compliance enforcement.
Babb’s new role will involve a greater focus on network strategy and server infrastructure. He will continue to oversee the existing network configuration and maintenance as well as the design and deployment of new infrastructure. Spain’s new role reflects her expertise in customer service and cash management. She will be responsible for additional review of new account activity, facilitating risk analysis, and detecting and reporting suspicious activity.
“Technology plays a key role in the strategic direction of Citizens Bank, enabling the highest quality of client service alongside cutting-edge innovation,” said Pam Jones, COO of Citizens Bank. “Johnny challenges the status quo and works hard to lead us forward and Stephanie’s knowledge has helped build a very strong foundation for the Bank’s successful BSA program. In their new roles, these valuable teammates will continue to bring forward-thinking to the bank while maintaining the highest level of security and technology standards.”
Babb first joined the Citizens Bank family in 2015 and served as the Network Administrator during that time. Prior to that position, he worked as a technician at Ozark Information Services. Babb attends Eastside Pentecostal Church in Batesville with his wife, Susan, son Bent, and two daughters, Autumn and Angel. He holds a B.S. in Business from Liberty University and several associate degrees from University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, including an A.A.S. in Business Services – CIS/Networking, an A.A.S. in Industrial Technology – PC Hardware Repair and an A.A. in General Education – Business Focus.
“Citizens Bank has an exciting future and I’ve truly felt like family in my time here,” said Babb. “I am looking forward to the challenge of this new role and equipping our team to fulfill our people-first mission for years to come.”
Spain joined the Citizens Bank family in 2014 and continued to grow her skills while serving as a BSA Officer. She demonstrated a desire to invest in her fellow teammates, as well as the organization as a whole, all while providing the highest level of service to Bank clients.
“The people I work with are the reason I’m proud to be part of the Citizens Bank family,” said Spain. “We have wonderful leaders and associates. I look forward to continuing the job I love and this promotion is an honor in itself to be recognized by my peers.”
Spain is an active member of Foothills Cowboy Church. She has extensive BAI training and is a lifelong learner, actively seeking training and professional development opportunities. She is a skilled problem-solver and a valuable help to each customer she serves, making her the right person to manage the Citizens Bank BSA program.
