Citizens Bank Names Bruce Hankins as Vice President, Manager of Retirement Plan Division

BATESVILLE – August 11, 2015 – Citizens Bank today announced the hiring of Bruce Hankins as Vice President and Manager of Retirement Plans within the bank’s Trust Department, according to Robin Brock, Senior Vice President and Trust Officer. 

“Bruce will play a key role in the Trust Department as the bank continues to grow and expand its services, particularly in the area of financial services,” Brock said.  “His background adds a wealth of knowledge and experience that will prove very valuable both to the Trust Department and our bank.”

Hankins, a native of Oil Trough, is a Certified Public Accountant and most recently was Controller and Interim Chief Financial Officer of South Arkansas Community College at El Dorado.  He also has served as Director of Financial Services for the University of Arkansas’ Division of Agriculture in Little Rock; Controller of the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville; and was a practicing CPA for many years in Batesville, Jonesboro and Memphis.

He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Harding University at Searcy, with a major in Accounting.  He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.   

Hankins is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.  He is a former ex-officio member of the South Arkansas Community College Foundation.

Hankins and his wife, Sherry, are both originally from Independence County.  They like to travel and enjoy outdoor activities.
