Citizens Bank Graduates Second Class of Certified Financial Coaches
Associates trained to provide enhanced financial education
Citizens Bank has announced the graduation of its second class of Certified Financial Coach (CFC) bankers in celebration of Financial Literacy Month. CFCs are bank associates who undergo a yearlong training program to enhance their ability in offering financial education to customers.
"These associates are dedicated to helping customers improve their financial lives through tools like budgeting and saving,” said Betina Ramsey, AVP, brand engagement officer for Citizens Bank. “With this deeper understanding of personal finance, they will be able to share their knowledge, providing Citizens Bank customers and associates alike with the financial information to make a positive difference in their lives.”
The second class of coaches include Cierra Sheets, Tonya King and Hayden Wilson. The group is actively working on programs designed to serve bank associates and community members in elevating the impact and importance of financial literacy.
Sheets, a special assets specialist serving at the Fayetteville branch, serves her community by helping customers pay their debts in various capacities, finding the best payment options to suit their budgets. Her participation in the CFC program stems from her desire to learn information that will help her better assist customers with their finances, underscoring the important role she plays in their lives.
King is a relationship banker in Batesville. With a master’s degree in library science and a professional history working at public libraries across Texas, King is passionate about adult education, which is what inspired her to be part of the CFC program.
Wilson serves as a retail branch manager in Rogers. As someone who loves a challenge almost as much as she loves serving the Northwest Arkansas community, the CFC program was perfect for her. She looks forward to honing deeper relationships with her customers, building trust and instilling good financial behaviors.
These graduates and others in the bank will deliver tips, hold classes and share presentations on various budgeting, saving and other financial literacy principles on an ongoing basis.
